TURNING LEGACY INTO VISION

Reed Green Coliseum has stood as the cherished home of Southern Miss Basketball since its inauguration in 1965. With the implementation of minor upgrades, such as the 2009 addition, the arena continues to stand as a testament to its longevity, though it's now poised for rejuvenation. The proposed enhancements and renovations to Reed Green Coliseum aspire to preserve its reputation as a formidable venue for visiting teams, modernize its infrastructure and technology to optimize event management, and introduce amenities that will enrich the experiences of the student-athletes, fans, and community.

NEW BASKETBALL PRACTICE FACILITY

This exciting addition to Reed Green Coliseum will provide a new practice gym and training facilities for the men’s and women’s basketball programs on the south side of the venue. The addition will also connect to the existing player facilities and improve access to the arena by replacing the existing court ramp and service dock. The addition of this facility will not only help the Southern Miss basketball programs stay competitive, but through its direct connection to the arena, it will also offer the ability to host a wide range of events.

NEW NORTH ENTRY

The north entrance will be completely re-imagined to provide a new lobby, ticketing, and arena offices. This will improve the accessibility at the venue and create an exciting entry into Reed Green Coliseum.

ARENA RENOVATIONS

Under the Dome, Reed Green Coliseum boasts one of the most vibrant home court atmospheres nationwide. The forthcoming renovation project aims to enhance this experience by widening the concourse, introducing premium loge-style seating, and installing state-of-the-art scoreboards and ribbon boards throughout the venue. Additionally, concession areas will be redesigned to open onto the concourse, while restroom facilities along the east and west sides of the coliseum will undergo modernization.

NEW BASKETBALL CLUB

The south side of the concourse will be expanded to become a club lounge for an amazing game day experience complete with its own concessions and restrooms. The club will also connect visually to a new basketball practice facility allowing it to serve as a player and recruit lounge.
